Did it pass my initial Vibe Check?

Honestly having been to over 50 different hotels in the Bangkok area, it definitely passed the vibe check on initially pulling up. I was completely caught off guard pulling into the area that it was located on a back street. But once you check in you realize the vibe in oasis in the city. It is so peaceful you forgot that traffic in just a minute's drive up the street. They do an amazing job to lull out the sound of traffic and really make you feel like you are in the countryside with birds chirping and  green lush everywhere. I would like to mention that the hotel is only technically 1 block away from the main street and 5 minutes from the On Nut BTS station, which is a overall plus.

The hotel is down a more private street right outside of the central town area. 7eleven is not even a 5 minute walk and there is a shuttle at the hotel that will drop you off at the closest mall and grocery store. There are also food vendors outside of this super popular area where the shuttle goes, which is super convenient. If you are looking to be outside of the city and in a more local area, this hotel is perfect! This hotel isn't in one of those super busy or expensive tourist areas. It takes about 30 minutes or so to get to the Icon Siam area. The fact that most people travel about 30 minutes to get anywhere in the city, doesn't make this that big of a deal.

Let's Do A Rundown of the Rooms

I stayed in the single king room which was very clean and really had enough room for just me. I always love when hotel use white sheets and a white comforter or duvet because I can always tell when it's clean. I think the housekeeping staff do a pretty good job or keeping the property clean. I saw people cleaning every day I stayed at the property.

The room we set up nicely and I had a pool facing room. The patio came with a chair on it which I loved and they are one of the few properties where smoking on the patio is ok. Funny enough even though that is the case, I never smelled anyone actually smoking which was nice. I got lots of fresh air and natural sunlight into the room. I also think it was a great idea to have a sliding door on the bathroom to save space. The rooms have free tea and coffee as well as in the hallway with hot water for guests to enjoy at any time. The hallways are very vibey but very quiet. I feel like I never really heard people in the hallway, but I felt like I was so loud. So I would like to say the doors do a great job of keeping out noise. Now on the other hand, the private pool villa pools can be used at any time of the day. So people can be in there and be heard via the patio door very easily so the hotel provides ear plugs.

Luxury Amenities & Hotel Standouts
There is a small restaurant on the 2nd floor of the main building of the hotel. They are open for breakfast until 4pm. They breakfast is pretty good and affordable. The restaurant also has games available to play if you want something to do for your group. The hotel also has front desk available in person and via whatsapp 24 hours per day. The hotel offers floating breakfast which is a staple in most beach hotels, so it's a great option to offer right in Bangkok. The hotel also offers in room massage service, which is a great option for your rest days on vacation. My two favorite things about the hotel is that they offer unlimited free coffee and tea as well a the cutest little elephant that they gave me during my housekeeping service one day.

What's the Tea on the Location?

Initially it seems as if the hotel is very ducted off and not close to anything. But after really taking the opportunity to really walk around the neighborhood, I realized that there is so much nearby. Now once again, it's not necessarily close tot he tourist areas, But if you want to get a more real, more authentic experience of Bangkok this area will be great. On Nut is a busy and bustling area a bit south of the central Bangkok area. It's about 25 minutes to get to BKK airport which is pretty great compared to areas further into the city.

Customer Service Presence

The front desk staff was available and ready to check me in with no wait upon arrival. There was staff at the door to help take luggage upstairs which is always nice especially when you are traveling solo. The front desk staff welcomes you by opening the door and offering you the most delicious real fruit pops. It's the perfect welcome because it's so hot out, so it's an amazing surprise when checking in. The housekeeping and front desk staff do speak English, but Thai is always welcome. They were very informative and helpful with anything my group needed while staying there.

What I Loved vs. What Would Love If

I loved........

  • the open air center to the hotel
  • the greenery that surrounds everything
  • the free elephant plush at check out

I would l love if ......

  •  there was a remote check in process
  • offered dinner & late night food options
  • shuttle to another drop off area or pick up from the airport

To Stay Again or Not Stay Again

I would stay here again. Although it is a bit further outside of the city, I would use that as an opportunity to really explore other parts of Bangkok and see how the locals live. I loved the staff, customer service is huge for me. I would go back just for that.
